Nikhila Narra Davis: Owner / Viticulturalist / Winemaker
Nikhila jumped headfirst into the Texas wine industry in 2013 with the creation of Narra Vineyards, with 140 acres under her management. Since then she’s worked to round out her experience by making wine at Cakebread Cellars in Napa Valley, earning an introductory sommelier certification, completing a certificate in viticulture from Texas Tech University, and earning an Executive Wine certification from the University of California at Davis. She’s continued her winemaking education through an ongoing mentorship by Dan and Spencer Gatlin of Inwood Estates, which produces some of the finest wine ever in Texas. She is now one of the preeminent female grape growers and winemakers in the state.

Nikhila earned a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Southern Mississippi in Business Administration with specializations in international business, finance and economics. She also holds a Master’s degree in Public Relations from The University of Southern Mississippi.

Greg Davis: Owner / Strategy & Operati0ns
Prior to starting Kalasi Cellars, Greg worked in management consulting where he drove key initiatives at some of the largest companies in the world. He focused on helping companies grow revenue, cut costs, and improve processes, with a significant engagements enabling over $10B in M&A transactions. His whole life, however, he has had a dream of starting a business and fell in love with the Texas wine industry after meeting his lovely wife, Nikhila. He’s now no longer taking weekly cross-country and international flights and instead taking weekly trips on a forklift or tractor.

Greg is a graduate of Lafayette College with a Bachelor of Science in Physics. He also holds a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University.

About Our Winery

100% Estate Grown wines

Kalasi Cellars is a boutique winery in Fredericksburg, TX formed by husband and wife, Greg and Nikhila Narra Davis, with a vision of producing and selling world-class quality, estate-grown wines in Texas, while providing our customers unique and memorable tasting experiences. Nikhila serves as the viticulturalist and winemaker, while Greg runs the business side.

Kalasi Cellars solely utilizes estate-grown grapes from its 140 acre vineyard in the Texas High Plains AVA (Narra Vineyards), as well as its tasting room’s onsite vineyard in Fredericksburg (Texas Hill Country AVA), meaning Kalasi Cellars uses 100% estate-grown, 100% Texas fruit and makes 100% single vineyard wines – a claim that very few wineries in Texas can make!

Our tasting room and production winery are situated on over 16 acres of relaxing Texas Hill Country land. Come enjoy our wines in our tasting room with a massive wrap around bar, or relax in Adirondack chairs under old pecan trees. You will likely even catch a glimpse of our llamas, Dalai and Roger!

Our Story
Five generations ago our family began farming in India, cultivating crops of cocoa, coconuts, rice, and turmeric. Today, our family calls Texas home. We continue to honor our heritage, but we have reincarnated our farming roots by growing wine grapes!

We believe our wines exemplify how the blending of two cultures can create something authentic, yet entirely new and exciting.
