Nikhila Narra Davis: Owner / Viticulturalist / Winemaker
Nikhila jumped headfirst into the Texas wine industry in 2013 with the creation of Narra Vineyards, with 140 acres under her management. Since then she’s worked to round out her experience by making wine at Cakebread Cellars in Napa Valley, earning an introductory sommelier certification, completing a certificate in viticulture from Texas Tech University, and earning an Executive Wine certification from the University of California at Davis. She’s continued her winemaking education through an ongoing mentorship by Dan and Spencer Gatlin of Inwood Estates, which produces some of the finest wine ever in Texas. She is now one of the preeminent female grape growers and winemakers in the state.

Nikhila earned a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Southern Mississippi in Business Administration with specializations in international business, finance and economics. She also holds a Master’s degree in Public Relations from The University of Southern Mississippi.

Greg Davis: Owner / Strategy & Operati0ns
Prior to starting Kalasi Cellars, Greg worked in management consulting where he drove key initiatives at some of the largest companies in the world. He focused on helping companies grow revenue, cut costs, reorganize, and improve processes, with significant engagements enabling over $10B in M&A transactions. His whole life, however, he has had a dream of starting a business and fell in love with the Texas wine industry after meeting his lovely wife, Nikhila. He’s now no longer taking weekly cross-country and international flights and instead taking weekly trips on a forklift or tractor.

Greg is a graduate of Lafayette College with a Bachelor of Science in Physics. He also holds a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University.

Our Story
Five generations ago, our family embarked on an agricultural journey in India, cultivating a diverse array of crops such as cocoa, coconuts, rice, and turmeric. Fast forward to today, and our family proudly calls Texas home. While we remain deeply connected to our rich heritage, we’ve undergone a transformative evolution, breathing new life into our farming legacy by cultivating wine grapes and crafting exquisite wines.

Our venture into wine grape cultivation took root in West Texas back in 2013, with the establishment of Narra Vineyards. The pivotal moment arrived in 2017 when we embarked on the winemaking journey, marking the inception of Kalasi Cellars’ inaugural vintage. Since then, the years have unfolded a story of growth and innovation. We’ve unveiled our state-of-the-art winery and inviting tasting room in Fredericksburg, and introduced optical grape sorting to Texas. This cutting-edge technology has played a pivotal role in elevating the quality of the wines we proudly produce.
