Tasting Room Associate
Role Description
Are you a motivated, self-directed individual that is looking to pursue a career in wine? Kalasi Cellars is seeking full-time and part-time tasting room associates for its Fredericksburg, TX tasting room. These individuals will be responsible for creating excellent experiences for guests through serving customers wine, telling customers Kalasi Cellars’ story, ensuring the tasting room is clean / stocked / etc. before opening, running events (note: some may be offsite), and, potentially, operating the kitchen. Kalasi Cellars fosters a very collaborative environment, so staff may be asked to perform tasks outside of their primary role as needed. The role requires working weekends, as well as special events outside normal business hours. Health insurance is offered to full-time employees.
Basic Qualifications
- Passion to learn about wine (note: prior tasting room experience is not required)
- Strong ability to foster customer relationships
- Highly motivated individual / go getter
- Ability to pass TABC Seller-Server certification
- Ability to pass Texas Food Manager certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to speak multiple languages, including sign language
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (e.g., moving cases of wine). The position can entail long workdays, irregular hours (e.g., after hours events), working outside, and special events. A valid driver’s license is required.
